Nestled beautifully in 7 acres of pristine farmland at the foot of The Pentland Hills, The Secret Herb Garden Café & Bistro offers a truly unique experience to drink and dine among grapevines, fruit trees and herbs in a beautiful glass house all year round.
Our ever-changing menus are inspired by and curated from the amazing fresh produce grown on-site every-day. We offer simple yet delicious seasonal dishes, demonstrating the harmony between The Secret Herb Garden and our kitchen.
ABOUT THE SECRET GARDEN
From a derelict plot outside Edinburgh in 2012 a green oasis has been created to enjoy the subtle magic that nature has to offer and provides the inspiration to create magical gins from “seed to sip”.
The Secret Garden gins are lovingly crafted to reflect passion. The Secret Garden Distillery produces the finest quality gins, using 100% natural products. The Garden itself is home to a wide range of hand harvested botanicals which have been used in some products and inspired the flavours of others.
The gin is distilled, hand bottled and labelled on site. The range includes traditional London Dry styles to more contemporary compounded gins.
The Secret Garden is a place where people can open the door to the magic of nature. To relax, enjoy and feel embraced by the herbs whether that’s sitting amongst them in the glasshouse or walking among them in the gardens. This is a place to enjoy and be embraced by the surrounding herbs, plants and nature and now The Secret Garden Distillery. It offers a haven to sit, enjoy and contemplate, or a place to get involved and learn how herbs and nature have an important place in our daily lives.
