Nestled beautifully in 7 acres of pristine farmland at the foot of The Pentland Hills, The Secret Herb Garden Café & Bistro offers a truly unique experience to drink and dine among grapevines, fruit trees and herbs in a beautiful glasshouse all year round.
Our ever-changing menus are inspired by and curated from the amazing fresh produce grown on-site every day. We offer simple yet delicious seasonal dishes, demonstrating the harmony between The Secret Herb Garden and our kitchen.

Using only local suppliers and herbs grown with passion on-site you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, cakes, coffee and handmade teas made by the Secret Herb Garden and all fresh and homemade every day.
GIN GARDEN & DISTILLERY TOUR
With over a thousand juniper bushes, complemented by 500 herbs and floral varieties such as scented lemon verbena, geraniums, irises and roses, the gin garden is the ultimate tribute to nature’s magic.
On our tour you will learn about all the different types of botanicals in our gin, you will see them grow, being harvest and our state of the art drying room.
We will end the tour with a full tasting of all six of our gins whilst learning about our unique style of distilling.
At the Old Curiosity we grow so many different types of botanicals we can make all sorts of delicious herbal tea (with some gin to match).
Join our G&Tea tour for an hour and a half to experiment with our herbs to create your ideal herbal tea and take it home with you! Not only will you become a tea connoisseur but a gin expert also as you will learn about our all-natural gins too (and of course try them).
